The SES PTSA sells Scrip (gift cards to grocery stores, restaurants and more) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at the table in the mail hall at Sunnyside Environmental School. You can take a look at the type of Scrip cards we sell (and the percentage donation that comes back to the PTSA) by clicking on this link. You can use these cards just like normal gift cards (which is exactly what they are). You buy them at face value and a percentage of your purchase is donated back to the PTSA. No extra cost to you!

Sure, Mobba.com is one of those online deal sites like Groupon or LivingSocial. But it has a few great things going for it–it is based here in the Pacific Northwest, it is focused on great deals with local companies in our community and it has a great donation program for local schools!
Sign up on Mobba.com and use the Referral Code “Sunnyside” to link your account to our school. Then, whenever a deal strikes your fancy, be sure to select Sunnyside Environmental School from the drop-down list of schools and SES will get 10% of your purchase! Office Depot Supports SES!
Did you know that Office Depot will donate 5% of any qualifying purchase back to Sunnyside Environmental School? If you shop at the local Office Depot (323 SE MLK Blvd.) you can just ask them to apply the 5% Back to Schools to Sunnyside Environmental School. If you are shopping at another Office Depot or online or over the phone (1-800-GO-DEPOT) you can use the School ID 70084282.

Box Tops for Education
BoxTops for Education is an easy way to raise money for our school. In the last two years we’ve earned nearly $500 that has helped purchase books for our wonderful library. Our next submission deadline is March 1st. If you are holding on to BoxTops please drop them off to the SES Library by Friday, February 24th so we can send them in on time. Chinook Books!
The return of Fall means…the start of school? Sure. An obsession with football? Maybe. The SES Chinook Book fundraiser? You betcha!
Chinook Books are a great source of hundreds of coupons for local businesses–restaurants, food carts, grocery stores, bike shops, health and fitness opportunities and much, much more.
The best part (aside from all the money you get to save) is that Sunnyside gets 50% of each Chinook Book sale. Order online or at school in September and October to get your book (or Mobile Edition, or both!) and help Sunnyside Environmental School at the same time.
Restaurant Fundraisers
Local restaurants love SES! We always have several restaurant days during the school year. They work like this: For an entire day (or sometimes just an evening), a local restaurant will donate a percentage of their sales (usually 15 – 20%) back to Sunnyside Environmental School. Eat in, take out–doesn’t matter. Our only job–cram the restaurant with Sunnyside families.
Last year we raised over $950 in a single day at Laughing Planet on Belmont! Other restaurant events in previous years include Pastini Pastaria, Pizzicato and Burgerville. 2011-12 will include monthly donation evenings at Hawthorne Hophouse (benefiting music at SES), Straight from New York Pizza on Belmont and many more.
We all like to eat out when we can–why not support Sunnyside Environmental School at the same time?
