This free, statewide event is a friendly competition that encourages students to walk, bike and roll to school for the entire month of May. During the Challenge, school coordinators track the number of students biking, walking, skating and scootering to school throughout the month. At the end of the Challenge, prizes go to the schools that log the most biking trips, most walking trips and most rolling trips; to the school with the largest total number of students walking, biking and rolling; and to the school with the highest percentage of students (out of the total school population) walking, biking and rolling.

UPDATE: Look for forms on classroom doors. There will be an all-wheels party before school on May 31, along with free bike repairs for students and staff. Refer to this post for more details.
