Westwind Family Camp – waiting list only

Westwind family camp is now full. We are accepting names for the waiting list if you are interested in coming. Please submit a registration form expressing your interest. You do not need to remit payment until you are pulled off the waiting list.

We are set to camp the weekend of Friday, April 13th to Sunday, April 15th. Friday the 13th is a teacher planning day with no school for students. Registration forms are available for download on the SES PTSA website at www.sesptsa.org and hard copies are available in the SES office. The cost is $55 per person (only co-sleeping infants are free) which covers lodging and food.

Due to a surplus carried over from last year, we are able to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for families who are unable to pay the full amount. For those on scholarship, the cost will be $20 per person. In addition, we have a few working scholarships for people willing to take on significant work responsibilities during the weekend. Westwind Family Camp is coming soon!

Westwind Family Camp is coming soon! We will be camping the weekend of April 8 – 10.

Friday, April 8th is only a half-day of school with students being dismissed at 11:30 am. You will have time pack, pick your kids up from school, eat some lunch, and still make it to Westwind for the 3:30 pm ferry crossing!

SES PTSA General Meeting, Tuesday, Nov 30

In the wake of new budget realities, the SES PTSA needs to modify the budget it adopted last spring. Please come hear about the changes. We will also try to have someone there to speak with us about what to expect from state and district funding issues as we move forward.

With this fact in mind, we have planned an additional SES PTSA General Meeting.

  • When: Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 from 6:30-7:30
  • Where: SES Auditorium
  • And: childcare for school-age kids provided with advance rsvp to jenopdx@gmail.com

There will be a vote to adopt budget changes so please make sure you have joined the SES PTSA this year prior to the meeting. You can do so easily by clicking on the Live Green Give Green page and then only signing up for PTSA Membership. The link is: www.sesptsa.org/?page_id=46

2010-2011 PTSA Budget Approved

This year’s experiment not to hold an auction worked well. Our school community is wonderful! You supported the Read-a-thon, the Run/Walk for SES the “Think Green Give Green” request, and lots of smaller PTSA fundraisers, as well as fundraisers sponsored by the school and by individual teachers.
