UPDATE from Wednesday, December 14:

Dear Families,

After much deliberation and some phone calls back and forth with PPS, we have made the decision to postpone the Riparian Festival again due to the snow in the afternoon/evening forecast.

I am so grateful for all of you who have helped organize this event, and want to acknowledge how hard your children have worked on their projects over the last several weeks.

We have decided to reschedule this event for Tuesday, January 3; however, the event will be an open house style, a drop-in curriculum showcase from 3:30-7:00 pm. The 3rd through 8th grade rooms and the science lab will be open, and student work will be on full display and your children will help tour you around the school. We will not have a meal or any of the other accompanying activities that we had planned for the original event, but we will be offering an evening event dedicated to Standing Rock Solidarity and Action later in January. More to come once we have finalized information and a date.

Thank you for your flexibility…the weather simply has not been on our side this week.

Please feel free to email or call the school if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you!

Amy and Alexa

It’s here: your chance to explore the collaboration and hard work of the 3rd grade through middle school grade classrooms over the fall school year. All classrooms will be open to see. Even if you do not have a student in one of these grades, you should stop by to see what is in store for the coming school years.

The Audubon Society will be here with their educational birds in the science room.

We will serve a lovely lasagna dinner in the cafeteria with salad and treats, all provide by our wonderful community. This is where you come in: Please sign up to donate food items or serving time or both.

We will finish the evening off as we always do with an all school sing along in the auditorium. Please email Marie Petrasy with any questions at sunnysidefieldstudies@gmail.com. Hope to see you all there!
