Fundraising/Budget

The mission of the SES PTSA is to support the mission of Sunnyside Environmental School by enhancing educational opportunities for students and families, supporting our staff, and promoting family and community involvement in our school. We carry out this mission by focusing our activities on:

  • Raising funds to invest in enhanced learning opportunities and support for teachers, classrooms, and our physical environment.
  • Sponsoring events and volunteer opportunities that promote strong family and community involvement in SES.
  • Actively promoting communication between school and families, and developing the school community.

During the 2012-2013 calendar year, the PTSA has a goal of raising approximately $107,000.  Our primary fundraisers are:

Additionally, the SES PTSA and the school raise funds throughout the year through events and activities such as:

  • Chinook Book sales
  • Wreath, Poinsettia and Tree sales
  • Tree Recycling
  • Seed and Plant sales
  • Restaurant Nights
  • Scrip sales
  • and more!
