Superintendent Carole Smith brought forward a revised scenario for balancing enrollment March 9 that fleshes out the reconfiguration of K-8 schools and responds to community feedback and additional analysis regarding boundary and program changes.

The Superintendent’s Scenario accepts the District-wide Boundary Review Advisory Committee’s proposal to shift the school district from a heavily K-8 model to a K-5 and middle school model. Changes would roll out over several years, during which time PPS will make investments to insure that all existing middle schools and K-8 schools are offering robust core and elective programming for students in 2016-17 and beyond.
