If you have an incoming 7th or 8th grader who is an experienced babysitter, this could be a great service gig for them and a super-simple way for you to plug in as a school volunteer.

Each month, you’ll need to assemble babysitters willing to arrive at school at 8:15am on that month’s Wednesday late start day to check in kids and sometimes collect cash and checks. (People pay online, too.) The childcare occurs in the auditorium or on the playground, and kids play games, draw, listen to music, etc. Middle schoolers then get the kids to their classes by the first bell at 10:40am.

It’s a super-easy way to make money for the PTSA Go Fund, which pays for our sustainability and garden program, field studies and more. If you’re interested, please contact Gina Binole at ginabinole@hotmail.com. Ideally, you could grab some coffee and spend some time with me the morning of May 18, the last day of late-start babysitting for the year.
