The Portland City Council unanimously approved an anti-oil train resolution with a 4-0 vote. The resolution opposes projects that would increase oil train traffic through the Columbia River Gorge and the Portland metro area and specifically notes the Tesoro-Savage oil terminal in Vancouver would pose a risk to the health, safety and water quality to the Portland and Vancouver area.
