SES students testify before Portland City Council

Check out the video link of Sunnyside Environmental School students talking BIG talk in front of Portland City Officials. On Wednesday, November 4, they testified against future oil and fossil fuel infrastructure development in Portland. Watch here.

The Portland City Council unanimously approved an anti-oil train resolution with a 4-0 vote. The resolution opposes projects that would increase oil train traffic through the Columbia River Gorge and the Portland metro area and specifically notes the Tesoro-Savage oil terminal in Vancouver would pose a risk to the health, safety and water quality to the Portland and Vancouver area.
